Newmarket Nights Returns for 2025: Tom Jones, Faithless & Sugababes All Set to Star on Stage

Racing and Music are staples of the summertime entertainment scene in the UK. From Royal Ascot to the Qatar Goodwood Festival, and beyond, fans of the flat can enjoy a steady stream of quality action. Meanwhile, if you prefer thumping beats to thundering hooves, Reading & Leeds, TRNSMT, and of course, Glastonbury star on a busy music festival scene.

But why have racing OR music when you can have both together? Making its debut back in 1987, Newmarket Nights combines competitive racing with live music from a big-name act – all for a great value price. Most people would pay between £30 and £40 for a day at the races or a gig. At Newmarket Nights, you get both.

Rick Astley, The Script, Busted, JLS, and Pete Tong are among the eclectic cast of acts to light up the July Course stage in the past. In 2025, fans can look forward to a legendary Welsh songsmith, a dance icon, singing showmen, and girl band royalty.

The West End arrives at Newmarket on the 15th of August as one of Britain’s most loved double acts takes to the stage.

A veteran of everything from Hairspray to Phantom of the Opera, Michael Ball is perhaps the most instantly recognisable musical theatre star in the UK. A two-time winner of the coveted Laurence Olivier award and a chart-topping artist, his well-honed showman skills have lit up theatres for over 40 years.

Tony Award-winning Alfie Boe is best known for his spellbinding performance as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables. However, he has also achieved significant acclaim as a solo artist, with his operatic tenor inspiring over one million album sales in the UK.

Each is a big deal in his own right, but Ball and Boe have hit even greater heights as a duo. Celebrating 10 years of making music together, they head to Newmarket having recently completed a 12-date arena tour. Expect familiar stage classics, classical crossovers, and the occasional surprise cover version at a concert that is set to deliver the perfect chilled-out summertime vibe.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2000, the Sugababes have seldom been away from the charts with their infectious mix of pop, R&B, and soulful vocals. Now back to their original lineup of Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena, and Siobhan Donaghy, the multi-platinum-selling trio will deliver a set of wall-to-wall bangers including “Freak Like Me”, “Round Round”, “Too Lost In You”, and “Push The Button”.

Whether smash hit pop tunes, stage standards, cultured beats, or the dulcet tones of Sir Tom strike the right note, Newmarket Nights has something to offer. Pick your night, place your bets, and enjoy one of the most distinctive events of the summer.
