Newmarket Cambridgeshire Meeting Races for 2025: Historic Handicap Headlines at HQ

Autumn is an extremely busy period at Newmarket despite the flat season drawing to a close. The first of three multi-day meetings during this period comes in late September with the Cambridgeshire Meeting. This fixture begins on a Thursday and finishes on Saturday with a total of 22 races, seven on each of the first two days and eight on the third day.

The big betting highlight is the title race of the meeting, the 1m1f Cambridgeshire handicap which is run on the Saturday. Alongside this hugely popular handicap there are seven Group class races across the meeting including two Group 1s in the Cheveley Park Stakes and the Middle Park Stakes.
