Home to one of the most famous flat racing festivals, Goodwood racecourse is located five miles from the Southwest town of Chichester – around 60 miles south of London. Kicking off their season with a two-day fixture in May, events come to a conclusion in early October, with the major five-day meeting of the Glorious Goodwood Festival enjoying a prime summertime spot in July.
Home to the Panama hat, and with a more relaxed atmosphere than Royal Ascot, the track’s signature event runs from Tuesday through to Saturday and features a trio of Group 1 events in the shape of the Goodwood Cup, the Nassau Stakes and the Sussex Stakes, in addition to the historic Stewards’ Cup Handicap.

Glorious Goodwood (July/August)
Glorious Goodwood is far more than a race meeting – it’s one of the defining weeks of the British sporting summer. Staged over five spectacular days, the festival sits alongside Royal Ascot as one of the premier Flat racing events in the world, attracting elite horses, leading jockeys and huge crowds to the Sussex Downs.
