This track which resides in the city of Worcester, around 40 miles to the south of Birmingham, is one of the oldest in the country, with tales of events at the current site dating back to 1718.
Previously a dual-purpose course, the track switched to an exclusively jumps racing venue in 1966 and has remained that way ever since. As a result of being particularly prone to flooding, Worcester operates largely during the warmer months, with the season running from April through to October.
The Richard Davis Memorial Handicap Chase falls towards the end of the season and is just about the biggest event of the year at what is a low-key jumps track.
