The most prominent of the three tracks in Wales lies in Monmouthshire, not far from the English border. Staging both flat and National Hunt racing, Chepstow lays on at least one meeting in every month of the year.
Whilst the flat racing fixtures are popular with the punters, it is the jumping game for which Chepstow is most well-known, largely due to the track’s flagship contest of the Welsh Grand National. The most valuable event in Wales, this staying showpiece traditionally takes place the day after Boxing Day. The Welsh National meeting also features the tracks only Grade 1 event of the Finale Juvenile Hurdle.
