Plumpton Racecourse Fixtures

One of two National Hunt tracks in Sussex, the small but charming Plumpton Racecourse sits in the east of the county and plays host to around 15 meetings between the months of September and May.

A popular destination for a number of the top training establishments, the standout event of the season comes in November, with the annual edition of the Sussex National.

Plumpton Racecourse runs a compact, jumps-only calendar focused on winter racing, with its biggest attention coming for the Sussex National meeting. The rest of the fixtures are lower grade but competitive, maintaining steady local interest.

Sussex National Day (January)

This is a brilliant day of winter jump racing, featuring Plumpton’s biggest race of the year. The Sussex National has been won by some outstanding types in the past, notably in 2026 when Havaila took the race before going on to score in the bet365 Gold Cup on Jump Finale Day at Sandown Park.

Easter Meeting (March/April)
