North Yorkshire is something of a hotbed for racing action, with a total of five tracks located in the area. Included amongst that number is the picturesque course of Ripon.
Nicknamed the “Garden Racecourse” and a previous winner of the “Small Racecourse of the Year” award, this flat-only venue stages around 16 fixtures between the months of April and September. The Ripon Champion Two-Year-Old Trophy and Great St Wilfrid Stakes are the track’s signature events, and both take place in August.
